The homeschool day began early today, with Isaac climbing into our bed and asking why it's cold in the mornings. I asked him to speculate and he responded that it must have something to do with the sun. A high-five later, I explained to him how the sun heats up the earth, so when it's out during the day, it warms up, but at night things cool down. The morning that he finds chilly comes just after the long night, so the sun hasn't had the chance to warm things up again. A science lesson before 8:00 - who knew?
